Choreographic Objects

Choreographic Objects was a creative dance session led by Ruairiadh O'Connell, in collaboration with the English National Ballet's Dancing With Parkinson’s Group and ENB’s creative musical and choreographic team. This one-day workshop was inspired by visual choreographic scores. Participants designed shapes and cut them out to create a visual musical score. These scores then became the basis for the music directors to interpret and respond musically, which, in turn, influenced the dancers in generating choreography.

The project was a symphony of experimental thinking, movement, and sound, where each element—visual, auditory, and physical—interacted and influenced the others. The process encouraged a dynamic interplay between the participants, musicians, and dancers, sparking creativity and producing unexpected, collaborative results.
